I'm not alone...
I've heard the statistics. Everyone's heard the statistics.
That just doesn't make it concrete in my mind.
Being on Xanga has made it real. I've seen so many blogs about it that I believe it now.
1in 6 women will be sexually assaulted in their lifetime.
Every 2 minutes someone in the U.S. is sexually assaulted.
I am one of those people, and I don't have to suffer alone and in silence.

Wow, those statistics are staggering! I'm sorry that you've been through what you have, but I'm glad you no longer feel alone. I can't say that I know your pain, because thankfully, I'm one of the 5/6 that is lucky enough not to have had something like this happen, but have had friends and even my mom who have been through it. It's tough, but stay strong!
